of the century and called him "the poet-prophet of alternative
medicine." With more than 70 books, this world-renown alternative
medicine physician has inspired millions interested in holistic
health, spirituality, conscious evolution, peace and creating
a more compassionate, peaceful, just and sustainable world. Dr.
Chopra began his career in traditional medicine - he was the Chief
of Staff at the New England Memorial Hospital before studying
Ayurveda, an ancient Hindu tradition of alternative medicine.
He became the medical director of the Maharishi Ayurveda Health
Center and in 1996 co-founded the Chopra Center for Wellbeing,
which incorporates this ancient alternative medical practice.
Deepak Chopra has also been involved with many organizations working
to create a new global paradigm. He is the co-founder of the Alliance
for a New Humanity, which creates "alliances toward one world
that honors life and builds an awareness of humanity's interconnectedness"
and the Evolutionary Leaders Group, which inspires, supports and
