The Points of Light Foundation, one of America's leading volunteer coordination agencies, has created a national monument in Washington DC to honr the spirit of volunteer service. The Extra Mile — Points of Light Volunteer Pathway is a one mile walking path with bronze medallions embedded in the walk honoring the founders of major service organizations as well as civil rights leaders who dedicated their lives to serving others. www.extramile.us
