Letelier-Moffitt
Human Rights Award

Since 1976, the Letelier-Moffitt Human Rights Award is awarded annually by the Institute for Policy Studies to individuals and organizations "advancing the cause of human rights in the Americas. The award was created to honor Institute for Policy Studies colleagues Orlando Letelier and Ronni Moffitt who were assasinted by agents of the Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in 1976, and to celebrate "new heroes of the human rights movement from the United States and the Americas." Here are some of the honorees. For more information: www.ips-dc.org/about/letelier-moffitt
