Thorolf Rafto

The Rafto Prize was established in 1987 in memory of Norwegian human rights activist, Professor Thorolf Rafto. This annual human rights prize is awarded to an individual or organization working "in the struggle for the ideals and principles underlying the Human Rights Charter."
